Packaging in 21 century came to the first place in determining the competitive abilities of products. It’s almost impossible to sell the items without packaging. Just imagine how nowadays you can vend seeds, nuts, bread or any others goods without wrapping them into a bright eye-catching packaging that provides necessary long-term shelf life of the produce.

Packaging not only decorates, but protects the goods from the impact of the environment, preventing them from sunlight, humidity, atmospheric oxygen and other negative effects.  

Not only food, but also industrial goods and construction materials need packaging. In this case, this group of products is exposed to the following negative effects

1.  Atmospheric  moisture leads to corrosion, swelling, etc.

2. Sunlight changes the color of the surface (burnout)

3. Mechanical effects during the transportation and installation (scratches, dimples, chips)

4. Surface contamination during the transportation and installation

All of these defects lead to the necessity to clean it before use, and probably repair the goods. 

To avoid these damages on technical products, they began to apply protecting films which should be easily applied to the goods, protect them from damage during the transportation and be easily removed by the consumer before use.

The experience in usage of protecting films led to the formation of the whole range of them; differ in thickness, color and adhesive characteristics from each other.

Nowadays protective films cover steel and plastic surfaces, wooden products and goods made of glass and porcelain, carpets, fiberglass products and others.

The use of the protective film by the manufacturer became the guarantee of high quality of the goods and the manufacturer's concern for the satisfaction of the ultimate consumer. At the same time, the protective film with the logo of the producer on it became the advertisement of the manufacturer and additional protection level against the forged production.
